Monday Monday Song 79 – A Body Was Found Down By The River (Final Mix 1.1)

“I read the news today, no, I can’t close my eyes and make it go away…”

The news can seem so cold and inhuman when an unknown person is discovered dead somewhere…a brief line or two in a small column in the newspaper is all that the loss of a precious life illicits.

Never lose your ability to mourn the invisible…

My response:

Monday Monday Song 78 – A Body Was Found By The River

Reflecting on a news article I read a week ago. My way of coping with and combating the casual anonymity of another death.

Monday Monday Song 77 – JAM 1 – Virtual Terrorist

I just found this mix on the web. It features an audio recording of me reading my poem Virtual Terrorist and is included on the album Chaud Froid n°5 – Virtualités Réelles by Friture.

Kudos to Friture for a very cool composition capturing the essence of the poem!

Have a listen below:

Monday Monday Song 74 – In Time

September 19, 2000

(D Based)

Don’t say nothing if you ain’t got nothing good to say
I was born in the Mississippi Delta but I walked away
Found a cabin in the Appalachia where I can live alone
It ain’t much but it’s home.

My life is more than the sum of what I’ve left behind
I know I will see some changes further down the line
In time.

Freedom is the choice to say that 2 + 3= 5
I want to live so I know I’ve been alive.
Take an inventory of what’s inside just because
I know I’m not the same man that I was.

My life is more than the sum of what I’ve left behind
I know I will see some changes further down the line
In time.

Don’t say nothing if you ain’t got nothing good to say
I was born in the Mississippi Delta but I walked away
But the memories are following along close behind
I’d turn around but I’m afraid of what I might find.

My life is more than the sum of what I’ve left behind
I know I will see some changes further down the line
In time.
