Posted in Leaves on the Poet Tree (Poems)

when i leave
will traces of this place
remain with me
bits of sand
ocean salt on my skin

when i return
to the busy traffic
of what i left behind
will all i hear be
these waves forever
carressing this bright

true peace
is an elusive thing
i have tasted some of it here
sweet like a mango batida
down at the kioskos

i must trust
that i have recieved
what i need for
what as yet lies
unseen on the horizon

in the distance
the lighthouse at las cabezas
gleams brightly in the
morning sun

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to write them! This has been a place of much needed respite. (PS. Stay tuned for 930am EST:)
