When God Met Me At The Thrift Store Part 1

This time I did not go in search of a particular item. Which can be a problematic thing, though often I leave with nothing.

My feet led me to the CD area near the back of the store. I figured I would peruse the music before heading out again.

I found one that was perfect for an ill friend. Another of an obscure gospel group that my parents love. Then I found two for me.

Though I didn’t realize at the time how perfect they were for me. At this time.

How much comfort and joy they would bring to my soul. How now I make excuses to run errands in the car so I get lost in the sound and fond memories. Like discovering a dear old friend.

Two CDs. Volumes 1 and 2. 20 Year Anniversary Set. 2nd Chapter of Acts.

Wow. Some of the songs I remember. Others not so much. All quite literally blow me away.

In the car, I crank up the volume and let the harmonies wash over me. At home, I walk around singing the tunes.

In my heart, I feel a change happening. God continues to meet me wherever I am.

Even at a thrift store.

I am so grateful.
