Shared Space

The space I occupy in this moment of this day will be filled by a hundred others before today ends.

Those who put walls around a space, place their name on the front, and charge admission are no different from those who wish to bottle and sell us the air we breathe.

We came into this world with nothing. We will leave with nothing. “There are no u-hauls behind a hearse.”

We have this space, and its precious air, not to own, but to share.
